Discover NTU Computing and Science tea party

Jointly organised by the NTU College of Science (CoS) and the College of Computing and Data Science (CCDS), the Discover NTU Computing and Science tea party invited prospective students under the Early Admissions and Scholarships Exercise (EASE) to explore the myriad academic opportunities available at both Colleges.

Held on 10 January 2026, the event also provided a platform for students to engage with the Colleges’ faculty, chat with student ambassadors, and meet alumni. Over a lively afternoon at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, EASE students were treated to a variety of activities designed to inspire and inform.

In the Discovery Lecture Series by CoS, faculty speakers delivered mini lectures, providing a small taste of academic life in university. Attendees gained new perspectives on biodiversity from Assistant Professor Lam Weng Ngai, the evolutionary role of antibiotics from Associate Professor Rebecca Case, and the detection of emerging pollutants from Associate Professor Richard Webster. They also learned about next-generation quantum sensors from Associate Professor Rainer Helmut Dumke, and game-theoretic Parrondo’s Paradox from Associate Professor Cheong Kang Hao.
