Congratulations to Prof David Wardle on Winning the Journal of Ecology Eminent Award!
ASE professor David Wardle has received the 2018 Eminent Ecologist Award by the Journal of Ecology. As part of the award, the Journal of Ecology has prepared a 'virtual issue' of twelve of Professor Wardle's papers in the journal that have been published over the past 20 years, and that span his work across the following research areas: how plant species affect ecosystems, the ecology of plants on really old soils, island ecology, and the impacts of invasive mammals in rainforests. Professor Wardle has also written comments to the selected publications on the Journal of Ecology blog.
This is the fifth year that the Eminent Ecologist Award has been given, and Professor Wardle is the first recipient based in the Asian region to receive it. The Journal of Ecology is a journal of the British Ecological Society, the world's oldest ecological journal and the leading journal of plant ecology.
