Voyage Beyond: Reimagining Maritime Singapore

The National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Cluster (NAMIC) hub at NTU, coordinated by SC3DP, participated in the NAMIC booth at the "Voyage Beyond: Reimagining Maritime Singapore" travelling exhibition, organised by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). The exhibition was held on 27–28 June at the Punggol Coast MRT Amphitheatre and Atrium. The exhibition showcased the evolution of Singapore's maritime industry, from its historic trading roots to its position as one of the world's leading maritime hubs and its vision for the future.

Through interactive and immersive exhibits, members of the public explored the vital role of maritime technologies, innovation, and sustainability in supporting global trade and everyday life. As part of the NAMIC booth, we featured SC3DP's research and technological innovations through 3D-printed components and live demonstrations, highlighting how advanced engineering and additive manufacturing are contributing to the maritime sector.

Senior Minister of State for Transport and National Development Ms Sun Xueling visited the booth and interacted with SC3DP staff, who presented the Centre's research capabilities and demonstrated how additive manufacturing is applied in the maritime industry.
