SC3DP Welcomes SHOM Group

The Singapore Centre for 3D Printing (SC3DP) was honoured to host the Spouses of Head of Mission (SHOM) Group on 27 January, welcoming a delegation of 18 members comprising spouses of ambassadors from various countries.
The visit commenced with a welcome and overview by Prof Paulo Bartolo, Executive Director of SC3DP, who introduced the Centre’s global research network, strategic objectives, core research areas, and key initiatives in additive manufacturing. This was followed by a showcase of selected 3D-printed components from SC3DP’s 3D Printing Competition and Photography Competition, reflecting the breadth of innovation and creativity within the SC3DP community.
The programme concluded with a guided laboratory tour, during which the delegates were introduced to SC3DP’s advanced facilities, research infrastructure, and technological capabilities, as well as the practical applications of additive manufacturing across multiple sectors. The visit facilitated meaningful engagement and knowledge exchange, strengthening awareness of SC3DP’s role in advancing research excellence, innovation, and international collaboration in 3D printing.
