Mediacorp filming of children’s infotainment series 伟人不见了 (One Page At A Time)》at SC3DP

The Singapore Centre for 3D Printing (SC3DP) recently welcomed a film crew from Mediacorp for the production of a children’s infotainment programme, presented in a storytelling format, titled 《伟人不见了 (One Page At A Time)》.

Recognising NTU’s global leadership in 3D printing research and innovation, the production team reached out to SC3DP as the ideal location to showcase the advancements of printing technology. The team was particularly interested in demonstrating to viewers how 3D printing today plays a vital role in fields ranging from aerospace and healthcare to construction and manufacturing.

In the finale episode, Johannes Gutenberg, the German inventor and craftsman of the movable-type printing press, accidentally escaped from a storybook, into the modern world where he explores cutting-edge printing technology. He visits SC3DP’s facilities and learns about the vast possibilities of 3D printing, from complex prototypes to real-world applications.

SC3DP was honoured to be a part of this unique project and to contribute to a programme that inspires the next generation to appreciate both historical achievements and modern innovations
