From 5-7 August, SC3DP researchers, students, and staff participated in Singapore’s 1st International Conference on the Future of Additive Manufacturing (AM) 2025. They were joined by NTU professors Yeong Wai Yee and Zhou Kun, as well as Professor Eleonora Ferraris from KU Leuven (Belgium), who also spoke at the event. Centered on the theme “Additive Manufacturing (AM) powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI)”, the conference brought together global researchers, industry leaders, practitioners, and students to explore the evolving AM landscape. Industry speakers shared topics on metal AM, biomedical technologies, applications and more.

SC3DP also showcased its latest research and innovations at the exhibition, drawing strong interest in areas including the ‘Intelligent Monitoring System for Real-Time Quality Control in Metal 3D Printing’ research project, cement structure printing, metal heat transfer, and partnership opportunities.  The event enabled meaningful exchange and reaffirmed SC3DP’s role in advancing the next frontier of AM.  Following its success, the next conference will be held from 4–6 August 2026 in Singapore.
