Exploring the Future of Construction with HDB (Housing & Development Board)

 

On 1 December, SC3DP welcomed participants from the Housing & Development Board led by Director (Chief Civil & Structural Engineer) Er. Teh Poh Suan for a seminar that provided valuable insights into the future of construction. The technical session featured several engaging topics, beginning with an opening presentation by our Programme Director Associate Professor Wong Teck Neng. Participants gained an understanding of how the integration of advanced 3D printing technologies with automation is poised to revolutionize the built environment industry.  The team from HDB explored how digital and robotic fabrication methods, as well as the development and application of sustainable materials, are reshaping manufacturing practices.
