Best Paper Award Conferred to PhD Student Jungyeon Kim at the International Conference on Precision Engineering and Sustainable Manufacturing

Jungyeon Kim, MAE PhD student at SC3DP under the mentorship of Associate Professor Seung Ki Moon, won the Best Paper Award at the International Conference on Precision Engineering and Sustainable Manufacturing (PRESM 2025) held in Chiang Mai, Thailand (6–11 July 2025). The award recognizes outstanding research quality and impact presented at the conference.
Jungyeon’s paper, “AI-based Mechanical Properties Prediction of Sintering-Aging Combined Effect in Metal Material Extrusion,” applies machine learning to forecast mechanical performance under combined sintering and aging conditions. The study highlights a practical framework to accelerate materials development by guiding parameter selection and reducing experimental cost in metal material extrusion.
