COURSES OF STUDY

The courses of study and the distribution of the courses for the degree of Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with 2nd Major in Entrepreneurship will be determined by the School of Biological Sciences with the approval of the University.

Each course will be assigned a certain number of academic units as determined by the University. The distribution of the courses of study and the associated number of academic units are shown in the tables below.

• Core: Compulsory courses required to satisfy programme requirements. In the first and second year, it is common in that all students enrol for the same core courses.
• Major Prescribed Electives: Students to elect and undertake courses with advanced topics and training specific to the major discipline.
• 6 ICC - Common Core Courses: Focusing on Key Transferable Skills and Global Challenges.  
• 4 ICC - Professional Series: Including Professional Communication, Digital proficiency, Professional internship, Profession Preparation.
• 1 ICC - Care, Serve, Learn (CSL): To develop deep understanding of societal issues and empathy through active community service and reflective learning.

• Broadening & Deepening Electives:  BDE may be taken from the courses offered by the school (usually from Selected Major Prescribed Electives) or from courses offered by other schools in the University. BDE may be used to fulfil requirements for Second Major, Minor, and Work-study programmes and MOOCs approved by NTU.

• 2^nd major in Entrepreneurship Requirements:
• 4 Compulsory courses (12AU) which will equip them with fundamental entrepreneurship competency as well as a technopreneurial mindset
• Elective courses (at least 13AU) build further breadth and depth in entrepreneurship.
• Compulsory experiential programme (10AU)

Total AU Requirements for Bachelor of Science with a Second Major in Entrepreneurship _Admission AY2025 onwards

** The 20-week Professional Internship or OEP is 10AU and will be credited to ICC Foundational Core.
