Programme Structure details for matriculation Year 2025
COURSES OF STUDY
The courses of study and the distribution of courses for Double Major Programme (Honours) in Biomedical Sciences and BioBusiness will be determined by the School of Biological Sciences with the approval from the University.
Each course will be assigned a certain number of Academic Units (AUs) as determined by the University. The distribution of the courses of study and the associated number of AUs are shown in the table below.
- Core – Compulsory courses required to satisfy programme requirements. Students must fulfil a total of 39AU of BioMed core and 38AU of Bio-Biz core courses respectively.
- Major Prescribed Electives (BioMedical discipline) – To fulfil a total of 3AU (BS2xxx/BS3xxx/BS4xxx) Elective course.
- Major Prescribed Electives (Bio-Business discipline) – To fulfil a total of 3AU Elective course under the Bio-Business basket.
- 6 ICC - Common Core Courses: Focusing on Key Transferable Skills and Global Challenges.
- 4 ICC - Professional Series: Including Professional Communication, Digital proficiency, Professional internship, Profession Preparation.
- 1 ICC - Care, Serve, Learn (CSL): To develop deep understanding of societal issues and empathy through active community service and reflective learning.
- Broadening & Deepening Electives (BDE) – provides the opportunity to explore different courses in NTU; or take up more challenging and advanced topics within the chosen discipline.
The programme offers two distinct tracks:
- NTUpreneur Track
- Copenhagen Business School Track (CBS)
By default, all students will go into the local NTUpreneur track and you may apply to be considered for the CBS track. The application and selection for students who can take the CBS track will occur in end of Year 1 semester 2.

- A minimum CGPA of 4.50 and a grade of at least A- for the Final Year Project are required for the award of an Honours (Highest Distinction) Degree.
- A minimum CGPA of 4.00 and a ‘Pass’ grade for the Final Year Project (FYP), are required for the award of an Honours (Distinction) degree.
