Hosting Prof. Michael Snyder at the Rehabilitation Research Institute of Singapore (RRIS), NTU!

On 25 May 2025, we had the privilege of welcoming Prof. Michael Snyder, the Stanford W. Ascherman Professor of Genetics at Stanford University and a global pioneer in genomics and personalized medicine, to RRIS. His lab has led foundational work in functional genomics and developed numerous technologies that have shaped the fields of genomics, proteomics, and regulatory biology.

During his visit, he explored our markerless motion capture system and shared his valuable insights on its potential for deep individual profiling and personalised care. It was a pleasure to exchange ideas on how movement science can integrate with precision health.

The visit was followed by his James Best Distinguished Lecture at LKCMedicine, where he spoke about the importance of longitudinal profiling and the future of preventive, personalised healthcare. Exciting times ahead for the future of medicine!
