This course on Organization culture and leadership addresses a wide range of people, organization and cultural topics relevant to a project manager. This course curriculum is aligned to the content outlined in the Guide to the PMI® Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK™, Sixth Edition). This course will help students to learn and reflect on the leadership skills that will be required by project managers as they navigate high complex and uncertain project environments. This course will also help students appreciate the role of leadership in shaping organization culture.

By the end of the course, the learners will be able to:

1. Describe the elements of organizational culture;
2. Discuss the importance of organizational subcultures;
3. Discuss the conditions under which organizational cultural strength improves organizational performance;
4. Recognize the implications of leadership style and its impact on team and organizational performance;
5. Gain an understanding of the traditional models of leadership and current leadership theories;
6. To gain knowledge and understanding on a wide range of people, organizational and culture topics relevant to a project manager and;
7. Explain the differences between leading and managing so as to enable the student to be a better leader and better manager.
