Introduction
With increasing urbanization, cities have evolved as centres for human economic and social activities. AI in smart city and urban system aims at making urbanization smarter and making cities equipped with advanced techniques to live, move around, interact with others, shop and enjoy a safe and convenient life. The goal of this course is to provide learners advance skills in AI in smart city & urban system.

Upon completion of this course, the learner should be able to:
- Explain trajectory linking, heterogeneous data fusion, deep learning, behaviour inferencing techniques and applying the techniques for smart city-related applications.
- Learn the optimisation techniques for urban planning and urban logistics.
- Learn details of different strategies and methods that are used to solve problems in smart city and urban areas.
The key objective of the course is to give the learners an appreciation of advanced techniques to improve and automate processes within a city, includes trajectory linking, heterogeneous data fusion, deep learning, behaviour inferencing, and optimisation. It is suitable for students who have basic understanding/experience in AI and interest in applying AI for smart city-related applications
No pre-requisites are needed to enrol in the individual courses.
Participants need to take note that those without qualifications or prior working experience in relevant engineering or the related fields, may find the course contents challenging.
