Introduction
With increasing urbanization, cities have evolved as centres for human economic and social activities. AI in smart city and urban system aims at making urbanization smarter and making cities equipped with advanced techniques to live, move around, interact with others, shop and enjoy a safe and convenient life. The goal of this course is to provide learners basic skills in AI in smart city & urban system and understand critical elements in the technological choices that cities must take.
- Graduate Certificate in Artificial Intelligence and AI Plus
- FlexiMasters in Artificial Intelligence and AI Plus
Upon completion of this course, the learner should be able to:
- Understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with the smart city design and infrastructures
- Explain about applications that AI can be applied for smart city and urban areas.
- Learn the AI and related techniques for smart city applications
- Students will learn details of different strategies and methods that are used to solve problems in smart city and urban areas.
This course is to first give learners a generic introduction of AI for smart city and urban system and teach them the Smart City concept & design and its AI applications in urban planning, urban logistics and transportation, introduction to spatio-temporal analysis and GIS for smart cities. It is suitable for learners who have basic understanding/ experience in AI and interest in applying AI for smart city-related applications.
No pre-requisites are needed to enrol in the individual courses.
Participants need to take note that those without qualifications or prior working experience in relevant engineering or the related fields, may find the course contents challenging.
