9 NTU MSE Faculty Named Highly Cited Researchers 2023 by Clarivate

We are proud to share that 9 MSE faculty members have been named Highly Cited Researchers 2023 by Clarivate.

 

 Clarivate’s "Highly Cited Researchers" list recognises researchers whose citation records place them in the top 1% based on the number of citations for their field(s) and publication year in the Web of ScienceTM citation index over the past decade. As citation activity is not the sole selection indicator, a preliminary list based on citation activity was further refined using qualitative analysis and expert judgement. According to Clarivate, of the world’s population of scientists and social scientists, just one in 1,000 are highly cited researchers. 

MSE's 9 faculty members are amongst the 42 NTU researchers recognised by Clarivate for their influential contributions in various fields of research. These 42 researchers account for the 44 mentions in the list, with two [2] individuals receiving multiple recognitions. Notably, Professor Xu Zhichuan Jason has been honoured for his exceptional contributions in both the Chemistry and Materials Science research areas, placing him amongst the distinguished group of 238 researchers worldwide who are recognised in more than one research field.

For the 6^th year consecutive year, NTU has achieved the highest number of influential scientists amongst Singapore institutions recognised in the list. Furthermore, NTU Singapore is up one spot to 22nd globally in Clarivate's Highly Cited Researchers 2023 list, reflecting the University's commitment to research excellence.
