ADM participates in Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (SITF)
In tribute to Lotte Reiniger’s legacy, the exhibition Lotte’s Legacy: Shadow Play from Babelsberg to Southeast Asia presents 18 student works from Nanyang Technological University and Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF, alongside a film showcase featuring 17 student films, Silhouettes in Lotte’s Footsteps. Both are curated by ADM Chair Hans-Martin Rall and demonstrate how a new generation is translating Reiniger’s delicate aesthetic into a borderless language of shadows.
Lotte Reiniger was a German film director and a pioneer of silhouette animation. Her best-known work, The Adventures of Prince Achmed, is the oldest surviving full-length animated film.
The Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film takes place from 5 to 10 May 2026 in Stuttgart, Germany.
