Established in 2005 as Singapore’s pioneering design and media arts institution, the School of Art, Design and Media (ADM) at NTU provides world-class education and conducts cutting-edge research in technologically enabled art, design and media practice. Congratulations to Maggie Huang, a final year media arts student from the School of Art, Design & Media at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), for being shortlisted in the inaugural Sony Future Filmmaker Awards 2023! Maggie directed the documentary short "Farewell Changchun", which captures the final glimpse of a house in Taipei that is soon to be demolished. The Sony Future Filmmaker Awards is an annual program that aims to elevate and support independent filmmakers and creators worldwide.
The screening of "Farewell Changchun" at the Sony Future Filmmaker Awards has garnered significant international media attention, with news of the event and the film's website being featured in multiple languages, including French, Italian, German, English, and Spanish. The NTU community is immensely proud of Director Shiao-Ya Huang's outstanding achievement and congratulates her on this remarkable feat.

ADM Gallery
The ADM Gallery is housed within the School of Art, Design and Media, an iconic and prize winning, environmentally friendly building, located at the heart of Nanyang Technological University campus in Singapore. ADM Gallery presents exhibitions of practicing artists and designers from Singapore, Southeast Asia and beyond the region. It features works of contemporary art and new media, as well as research-focussed curatorial projects that intersect with fields in the technology and the humanities.
