Political observer: The Workers’ Party should adopt a clear stand to maintain its credibility

Most local political observers believe that the Workers’ Party should adopt a strict and clear stand to maintain its credibility, which means that Raeesah is likely to be expelled or voluntarily resign and quit the party. Asst Prof Walid Jumblatt from the NTU School of Social Sciences stated that the Workers’ Party should be decisive in its action. He pointed out that the Workers’ Party took a firm stand and immediately cut off the party membership of its previous representative, Yaw Shin Leong, when he was involved in an extramarital affair.
