​Changes emphasise continuity as Cabinet combats pandemic: Observers

Commenting on the latest slew of Cabinet changes, NTU political scientist Asst Prof Walid Jumblatt Abdullah said that Mr Lawrence Wong’s shift from the Ministry of National Development (MND) to the Ministry of Education (MOE) move likely stemmed from his performance leading the multi-ministry task force. He added that while the ministers have a shorter runway, they will work with civil servants who have been there much longer and can lend their experience.
