People's Association national integration dialogue talks about race issues through theatre forum

On 15 July 2023, the People's Association organised a national integration dialogue to address racial issues using a theatre format. The event provided a platform for about 200 young individuals, volunteers, and community partners to engage in discussions, raising awareness about racial discrimination.

Participating in this dialogue, Haikal Afiq, the recipient of the PA Undergraduate Scholarship (Local), and currently pursuing his fourth-year in Sociology at SSS@NTU, expressed his belief that changing the attitudes of some seniors towards stereotypes and perceptions of certain ethnic groups is challenging. He suggested the need for more intergenerational dialogue to bridge the gap and foster better understanding and acceptance among different age groups. This could potentially help to break down barriers and promote harmony in the community.
