Transferable Skills Programme

Apart from research and intellectual skills, other professional skills and attributes including interpersonal skills, communication skills, and scientific writing are also integral to post-graduate training. The Transferable Skills Programme aims to impart our students with skills that are relevant to both research and future career development beyond their stint at NTU.

College of Science (CoS) Transferable Skills Programme
The CoS Transferable Skills programme is compulsory for full-time PhD students.  All courses should be completed at least 6 months prior thesis submission and they are the graduation components.  For more information, please click here

For students from AY2022 intake and before

​ Year 1: CoS Research Integrity Workshop
(permanently replacing Residential Programme/Research Integrity and Ethics Workshop/A Panoramic Perspective on Science. If student has attended any of these 3 courses, they need not attend the CoS Research Integrity Workshop

​ Year 3 or 4: Career Preparation (any Career Preparation seminar from Graduate College-Transferable Skills Series (GC-TSS))

Graduate College Transferable Skills Programme
In addition to the College of Science (CoS) Transferable Skills programme, the Graduate College Transferable Skills Programme is compulsory for all full-time and part-time PhD students.  These 2 courses should be completed at least 6 months prior thesis submission and they are the graduation components.
