NCPA Launched New MME Programme in English

The Master of Science in Managerial Economics (MME) programme is an interdisciplinary master programme focusing on public policy and economic reasoning. Started in 1998, the MME programme was conducted in Chinese and has attracted and benefited many Chinese government officials with its practical focus. NCPA has received positive feedback on the programme over the years and decided to widen its student base by offering it in English.

The newly launched English programme received an overwhelming number of applications for the January 2021 intake and admitted a total of 70 students into the programme. Despite global restrictions on travel, NCPA ensured that all MME-English international students were able to get their entry approval promptly and arrive in Singapore in time for the January semester.

MME-English students were welcomed by an in-person briefing held on 9 January. In line with safe distancing measures, students were seated in two lecture halls during the academic briefing. Ms Kathryne Yew, Senior Assistant Director of NCPA’s English graduate programmes, welcomed the students warmly and shared on the vibrancy of NTU Singapore as well as NPCA’s aspirations for the new MME programme.
