NCPA Welcomes Largest Cohort of Chinese MME Students

On 20 November 2020, Nanyang Centre for Public Administration (NCPA) held an online programme opening ceremony for its largest cohort of 174 new students of Master of Science (Managerial Economics) Programme (MME).

The MME programme is designed to enrich fresh graduates and people with less than two years of work experience in their knowledge of economics, management, finance and other fields. The programme provides students with opportunities to participate in internship programmes in Singapore or China with the aim to enhance their employability.

The response to the November intake of the MME programme was overwhelming. The Admissions Committee received nearly 1,000 applications, most of them from 985 universities or 211 financial institutions in China, and applicants from well-known overseas universities. Although the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted overseas studies, the strong reputation and excellent teaching quality of universities in Singapore are still favoured by international students.

To ensure that the new students could begin their studies smoothly, all staff in the NCPA’s Chinese Graduate Programmes team worked closely with the relevant departments in the University to complete all the necessary paperwork and formalities.
