NCPA Graduation Dinner for Class of 2023

On 28 July 2023, the Nanyang Centre for Public Administration (NCPA) held a dinner at the Genting Hotel, Jurong, to commemorate the academic achievements of the Class of 2023 from the Master of Public Administration, English (MPA), Master of Science, Managerial Economics (MME) and the Master of Social Sciences, China and Global Governance (MCGG) programmes.   

It was a jubilant occasion for NCPA to celebrate and recognise the brilliance and culmination of the learning journey of more than 30 graduates. The heartwarming reunion facilitated yet another inspiring sharing of interests and knowledge among the valedictorians, graduates, faculty members, alumni, and staff of NCPA. 

In her congratulatory address, Associate Professor Wang Jue, Director of NCPA, lauded the graduates for their remarkable dedication, marking the commencement of a transformative phase in their public service journey, armed with the essential knowledge and competencies to make meaningful contributions in public policymaking and governance.

 

Professor Wang also thanked the esteemed professors, dedicated lecturers, and the staff of NCPA for guiding and supporting the students to attain their academic excellence across the three Master's programmes. 

She also emphasised the evolution and international reach of our programmes complemented by an extensive, illustrious alumni network of over 20,000 individuals who have contributed to our ongoing development and success. 

 

In his eloquent valedictory address, Mr Tiong shared his anecdote of how his passion for Chinese history and culture has led him to enrol in the MCGG programme where he gained valuable knowledge, critical thinking skills and cutting-edge insights on China’s social, economic, and political evolution, and its increasing influence globally. 

Ms Jolene Sim who graduated top of her MPA class also expressed her gratitude to all who have made her journey at NTU truly fulfilling and enriching, especially for the professors’ commitment to simplify complex content and make it relatable, and helping students become better contributors and leaders in their respective fields.
