NTU MSE Faculty Ranked World's Top 2% Scientists 2023
We are proud to share that 25 MSE and cross-appointment faculty members have been ranked World's Top 2% Scientists in the latest "single-recent-year-impact" metrics compiled by Stanford University, using Scopus data by Elsevier through
ICSR lab (https://www.elsevier.com/icsr/icsrlab). .jpg?sfvrsn=6093b7af_3)
The report, published on 4 October 2023, was prepared by Professor John P. A. Ioannidis, an eminent professor at Stanford University. His team created a database of the 100,000 (2%) top-cited scientists worldwide based on standardised information on citations,
h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator (c-score). The c-score focuses on impact (citations) rather than productivity (number of publications), and it also incorporates
information on co-authorship and author positions (single, first, last author). Scientists are classified into 22 scientific fields and 174 sub-fields according to the standard Science-Metrix classification.
