Nano Energy Award 2023 - Prof Chen Xiaodong

We are delighted to announce that Professor Chen Xiaodong has been awarded the prestigious Nano Energy Award 2023 in recognition of his significant contributions to interdisciplinary research, particularly in the field of energy storage.

Prof Chen has made significant progress in enhancing energy storage performances under extreme conditions via nano-enabled tools. His pioneering work includes the synthesis of nanomaterials capable of mechanical adaptation, thermal reliability, and high-mobility electrical properties. He has made significant advancements in developing cutting-edge characterization techniques and theoretical approaches to investigate the nano effects for high-performance energy storage under extreme conditions. 


Prof Chen has been selected amongst other esteemed award recipients, including Professor Xudong Wang of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA, and Professor Wenjie Mai of Jinan University, China. 

The award ceremony will occur at The 6th International Conference on Nanoenergy and Nanosystems (NENS 2023) on 19 June 2023 in Beijing, China. Each recipient will be presented with an award plate and a cash prize during the ceremony. They will also deliver a plenary talk at NENS 2023.
