Winner of the A*STAR Therapeutics Development Review Grant - Associate Professor Joachim Loo

We are pleased to share that Associate Professor Joachim Loo has been awarded the A*STAR Therapeutics Development Review Grant for the project entitled ‘Mitigating dyskinesia in Parkinson’s disease through advanced extended-releasing polypharmacy microcapsules’. The project aims to evaluate the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of novel formulations in non-human primates. The findings will then be compared with other new commercial controlled release formulations.

About the grant
The Therapeutics Development Review (TDR) Grant, formerly known as the Asset Review Process (ARP), is hosted by the Biomedical Research Council (BMRC). The aim is to facilitate the identification of potential high-value drug discovery and development projects/assets in A*STAR and the wider research community in Singapore. In addition to potential funding, researchers will receive feedback and guidance from local and global drug development experts. Desired outcomes of the grant call include building a sustainable pipeline of therapeutic projects which are aligned to Singapore’s strategic interests.

Our heartiest congratulations to Prof Loo on his excellent achievement!
