​Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Grant - Prof Joachim Loo

​We are pleased to share that Associate Professor Joachim Loo has been awarded the Grand Challenges Explorations grant by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for his project, entitled “Food-derived Nutraceutical Encapsulation System for Food Fortification”.
 
About the grant
The Grand Challenges Explorations (GCE), an initiative funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, foster early‐stage discovery research to expand the pipeline of ideas for solving the greatest global health and development challenges. Launched in 2007 with an initial $100 million commitment from the foundation, GCE grants have already been awarded to more than 1,300 researchers in more than 65 countries.
