Abstract 

Advanced Materials has been publishing first-class interdisciplinary research at the cutting edge of materials science for over 30 years. In this presentation, you will learn about Advanced Materials and related journals within our materials science portfolio. A snapshot of current trends and challenges will be given and insight into the peer review and editorial decision-making process provided along with tips for your publishing strategy. Ethical considerations and the role of generative AI will also be touched on.

Dr Esther Levy
Co-Editor-in-Chief, Advanced Materials

Dr. Esther Levy is Co-Editor-in-Chief of Advanced Materials and Consulting Editor for Small, Advanced Materials Technologies and the interdisciplinary open-access journals Advanced Science, Advanced Intelligent Systems and Advanced Sensor Research. She has over 25 years publishing experience, both within the editorial team of the Advanced Portfolio of journals and during her four-year stint as Senior Commissioning Editor for Wiley’s physical sciences book, journal and society publishing program in the Asia-Pacific region. Esther has a B.Sc.(Hons) in Chemistry from Otago University (New Zealand) and Ph.D. in supramolecular chemistry from Cambridge University (UK). She is located in Sydney, Australia.
