Biography
Mr Jatin Sarvaiya, MSc, MBA
Director, Net Zero Programme
Sustainable Finance, Standard Chartered Bank
As Net Zero Programme Director at Standard Chartered Bank, Jatin is responsible for developing emissions baselines and targets for carbon-intensive industries where the bank has significant exposure, and then monitor and disclose the progress. In his previous roles, Jatin served as a Global Sustainability Manager at the American Bureau of Shipping, where he developed strategies to enhance environmental sustainability in the maritime sector. Prior to that, he worked as an Assistant Manager at PwC Singapore in the focusing on carbon footprinting and decarbonisation strategy development for hard-to-abate carbon sectors. During his tenure at the Energy Research Institute in NTU as a Research Project Manager, he spearheaded a diverse array of cutting-edge research and development initiatives focused on energy efficiency and renewable technologies.
With over 15 years of experience in the sustainability sector, he holds an Executive MBA from Strathclyde Business School and an MSc in Sustainable Energy Systems from Queen Mary University of London. Jatin is a vegan and in his free time enjoys plant-based cooking.
