Professor Pang Weng Sun

Professor Pang Weng Sun (MBBS, M.Med Internal Medicine) is Vice Dean, Clinical Affairs, Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and the Dean-designate of MOHH’s Healthcare Leadership College. He is also a Senior Consultant Geriatrician at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital/ Yishun Community Community Hospital and Senior Advisor, Geriatric Education and Research Institute. He was formerly Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer (Population Health) of the National Healthcare Group. Prof Pang is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine,Singapore and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh, UK. He trained in geriatric medicine in City Hospital, Edinburgh and Freeman Hospital, Newcastle-upon-Tyne in the UK. He was previously a consultant geriatrician in Tan Tock Seng Hospital and the former Head of the Department of Geriatric Medicine in Alexandra Hospital. He was President of the Society for Geriatric Medicine from 2001 – 2007.

Prof Pang has contributed geriatric and palliative care expertise to many community services and continues to contribute to various committees in the Ministry of Health and voluntary agencies. He was a recipient of the Healthcare Humanity Award in 2005.
