Associate Professor Tan Cher Heng

Assoc Prof Tan Cher Heng is presently a Senior Consultant with the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH). He obtained his medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 2001 and completed his training in Diagnostic Radiology in 2009. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine in Singapore and a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists in the UK. He completed a clinical fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas, USA in 2009.

Assoc Prof Tan is Assistant Chairman Medical Board (Clinical Research and Innovation) and a member of the Clinical Board in TTSH. As Director of TTSH Clinical Trials and Chair of the NHG Clinical Trials Committee, he oversees the conduct of clinical trials within TTSH and their growth within NHG. He concurrently serves as Deputy Clinical Director, Centre for Healthcare Innovation and Committee Member in NHG Centre for Medical Technologies and Innovation. He is involved with facilitating clinical innovation collaborations between TTSH and NHG with industry and academic partners.

Assoc Prof Tan also holds leadership positions in the Singapore Radiological Society and the Asian Society of Abdominal Radiology. His subspecialty interests are in oncologic imaging and abdominal MRI, and he has been involved as a clinical lead a number of related funded research projects with various scientists, primarily related to MRI. Prior to this appointment, he was a Clinical Lead for Radiology at LKCMedicine.
