MAE prof and team develop marker-less motion capture tech for physiotherapy

MAE Assoc Prof Ang Wei Tech, who is also the Executive Director of Rehabilitation Research Institute of Singapore (RRIS), recently developed a new motion capture system together with his team. The technology can be utilized by Healthcare Industries in helping rehabilitate patients. It is a precise, yet marker-less technology that enables tracking and analysis of human motion in a quicker and more accurate way. Without the need of placing markers all over the patient’s body, this technology can surely save time and overall cost.
