NTU-USP Interview Process
Shortlisted applicants will go through a group interview session conducted by our core faculty. NTU-University Scholars Programme (NTU-USP) conducts this form of interview sessions to ensure effective collaboration and communication amongst all applicants.
- Confirm their attendance for the interview session via WhatsApp or email.
- Receive confirmation email from NTU-USP ([email protected]), stating the date, time and venue of interview session.

- NSF – Applicants coming directly from camp are welcome to wear book out attire or army smart 4

- Duration of Interview
- The interview will last approximately 2 hours, including 30 minutes for essay writing and a discussion session with the student ambassadors
- Briefing Session in Holding Room
- A small briefing will be done by NTU-USP administration staff regarding the session
- Discussion with NTU-USP Student Ambassadors
- Discussion with Student Ambassadors
- You may stay back to clarify any questions with our NTU-USP Student Ambassador
Note:
Failure to submit the essay will result in an incomplete admission process, and candidate will NOT be offered NTU-USP scholarship or programme.
All applicants who attended interview sessions are required to submit Post-Interview Questionnaire by assigned datelines.
NTU-USP Scholarship Benefits
Scholarship Highlights:
The NTU-USP Scholarship is offered to selected freshmen with strong academic credential, demonstrate strong leadership potential, and possess outstanding co-curricular records.
Each applicant will need to undergo a rigorous interview process.

*Students may be offered the programme only, with or without NTU-USP scholarship. NTU-USP reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of the scholarship programme without prior notice.
Benefits of Award:
The NTU-USP Scholarship covers up to the normal programme duration on condition that the scholarship holder maintain a record of good academic performance and exemplary conduct.
- Full coverage of subsidised tuition fees (after Tuition Grant).
- Living allowance of S$6,500 per academic year.
- Accommodation allowance of up to S$2,000 per academic year (applicable to scholarship holders who reside in NTU hostels only).
- Computer allowance of S$2,000 (one-off).
- Travel Grant of up to S$8,000 for an overseas study/attachment programme subject to terms and conditions in the Travel Grant Form (for new cohorts from AY2025).
- Overseas benefits in the semester of the NTU-USP Study Abroad or NTU Exchange Programme.
- The NTU-University Scholars Programme offers:
- Opportunity to spend a semester studying abroad at partner university
- Travel Overseas Programme for Scholars (TOPS) for Year 1 NTU-USP scholars
- Elective with a Travel Component
- No bond is attached to the NTU-USP Scholarship apart from the three-year bond applicable to all Singapore PRs and international students under the MOE Tuition Grant Scheme.
Terms & Conditions:
- Scholarship holder must not, without the approval of the University, hold concurrently any other scholarships, bursaries, university loans or awards.
- Scholarship holder is required to maintain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 over 5.0. Academic performance will be reviewed every semester.
- The scholarship may be withdrawn at any time if, in the opinion of the University, the scholarship holder's progress or behaviour is deemed unsatisfactory.
- If the scholarship holder decides to terminate the scholarship prematurely, a repayment will be imposed.
