Inspiring change: How you can light the way for others
The NTU Bursary eased the financial worries of student Lee Yee Xin and inspired her to support others, showing how every gift fuels more than education.

For Lee Yee Xin, a Year 3 Environmental Engineering student, balancing studies and part-time work had long been a way of life. Her father is the family’s sole breadwinner, and her weekends were often filled with work appointments to help support her family and cover her living expenses.
When she received the NTU Bursary, it lifted a weight off her shoulders. The support eased her financial worries and gave her the freedom to focus on her studies.
The experience also sparked something deeper. “I’ve also become a donor because I know what it feels like and I want to give others the same chance,” she said.
The NTU Bursary gave Environmental Engineering student Lee Yee Xin the confidence to pursue her goals.
