TEM cluster: Usage & Training

We offer equipment training for most of the techniques available at FACTS. Our training programmes are designed to provide users with a solid understanding of the techniques and the skills required to operate the instruments independently.

We also offer Usage with Assistance for users who prefer facility staff to operate the instruments and collect data on their behalf. This service is ideal for users with only a small number of samples or occasional analysis needs.

For users interested in the aberration corrected TEMs (ARM300F and ARM200F)

Users are expected to have prior experience operating a standard TEM (and preferably a STEM) before undertaking training on the ARM200F or ARM300F. Training on the ARM instruments typically takes three days.
