SCSE Graduation Trip: Go-kart Challenge @ KF1 Karting Circuit
The SCSE Class of 2018 gathered together on 27 January 2018 for SCSE Graduation Trip: Go-kart Challenge held at KF1 Karting Circuit. The race challenge was set at novice and beginner level with a race speed of 35 km/hr. The race track is the longest track in Singapore at 960m and consists of 18 corners in total.
SCSE Asst Chair (Alumni and Outreach), Assoc Prof Cong Gao, attended and graced the event. The event was aimed at strengthening the bond and network amongst the graduating students and welcoming them into the SCSE alumni community.
The event kick-started with a welcome speech by Ms Jovin Lee (BCG, Class of 2011), SCSE Alumni Association (AA) Committee representative, to introduce the graduating students to the SCSE AA. Participants were briefed on the safety matters before being split into different waves for the qualifying rounds. Only the top 12 racers will make it into the finals with the top racers emerging as winners.
We congratulate the winners for conquering the challenging race track. Both Assoc Prof Cong Gao and SCSE AA Committee President, Mr Leonard Lee (CS, Class of 2014) presented the awards to the top racers.
