Titled “From Lab to Launch: Navigating the Startup Journey in Deep Tech Entrepreneurship,” the session pulled back the curtain on what it really takes to turn research into reality. Moderated by CCDS Pioneer Alumnus David Ho, the panel brought together:

  • Kat Neo, Deputy Director at NTUitive
  • Jay Prakash, CEO & Co-founder, Silence Laboratories
  • Will Hoon, Chairman Asia, Stern Stewart

Together, they unpacked the challenges and rewards of building in the deep tech space;  from funding mechanisms to mindset shifts, and everything in between.

From Kat’s candid take on commercialisation, to Jay’s startup battlefield reflections and Will’s strategic lens on growth, lively discussions were sparked, and alumni walked away with more than just insights; they walked away fired up.

  • Chua Yu-Jin (Class of 1993), Vice President
  • Kenneth Tan (Class of 1994), Honorary Secretary
  • Benjamin Choo (Class of 2004), Honorary Treasurer
