Assoc. Prof. George Christopoulos holds a Ph.D. in cognitive neuroscience from the University of Cambridge. His research aims to understand organizational, entrepreneurial and managerial behavior by combining traditional methods with state-of-the-art experimental, game-theoretic and neurobiological methods. His research has attracted >USD$3.5m (from both government and the industry) and examines (i) social decision making (dynamics of trust) (ii) the impact of the built environment (including cultural symbols) on performance and well-being (iii) mental fatigue using biosensors. He holds expertise in a wide range of methods, including computerized testing, computational modelling, brain imaging, psychophysiology, whereas he has been developing new methods including wearable devices, digital phenotyping and Virtual Reality. His research is truly interdisciplinary and has appeared in prestigious papers across many disciplines, including business (FT-50), interdisciplinary (PNAS), neuroscience (Nature Neuroscience, Journal of Neuroscience) and engineering (Building and Environment) journals. He is co-director of the Culture Science Innovations, member of the Advisory Council of the Academy of Neuroscience For Architecture (ANFA) and a collaborator of the University of Pennsylvania Center for Neuroaesthetics.
