Congratulations to A/P Zhao Zhiye and his former PhD student Choo Ling Qian for being awarded the Scott Sloan Outstanding Paper Award 2020 by the international journal Computers & Geotechnics published by Elsevier, for their paper “Hydraulic fracturing modeling using the Discontinuous Deformation Analysis (DDA) method”. 

The Scott Sloan Outstanding Paper Award, named in honour of the late Prof Scott Sloan, recognises the top papers that have made a significant impact on the field of geotechnical engineering. This impact is based on SCOPUS citations (excluding self-citations) for the previous five years, in conjunction with the opinion of the Editors of Computers and Geotechnics.
