• In November 2019, CDPT PIs - Prof. Nikolay Zheludev, Prof. Zexiang Shen and Prof. Hongjin Fan were named three of the Highly Cited Researchers 2019 by Clarivate Analytics for their exceptional research performance, demonstrated by production of multiple highly cited papers that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and year in Web of Science.

• Prof. Ranjan Singh has been elected as a Fellow of the Optical Society (OSA), in recognition of his pioneering contributions to terahertz science and technology in September 2019.

• Prof. Yidong Chong has been awarded the Nanyang Education Award (College)​, NTU in August 2019.​​​​​​​

• Prof. Ranjan Singh has been awarded the tenured position of Associate Professor in SPMS, NTU in February 2019.​​​​​​​​

• In October 2018, Prof. Nikolay Zheludev has been elected a Fellow of the American Physical Society for his seminal contributions and international leadership in nanophotonics and metamaterials.​

• In October 2018, Prof. Cesare Soci has been elected a 2019 OSA Fellow Member for his significant contributions to the advancement of optics and photonics.

• In August 2018, Prof. Nikolay Zheludev has been awarded the Nanyang Research Award - the highest recognition to individuals or teams who have made outstanding contributions in extending the frontiers of knowledge​.

• Prof. Nikolay Zheludev has been elected Fellow of The Royal Society in May, for his work that has had a considerable impact on developing new concepts in which precise nanoscale structuring of matter enhance and radically change its optical properties.​

• Prof. Weibo Gao was honoured with the MIT Technology Review Innovator under 35, Asia Pacific by the MIT Technology Review Magazine​ in January.

• Prof. Ranjan Singh was honoured with the SPMS Young Researcher Award 2017 in January.​

• Prof. Qijie Wang was the co-recipient of the IES (Institution of Engineers Singapore) Prestigious Engineering Achievement Team Award of Singapore.
