3rd International Workshop QTN 2019
  • Prof. Nikolay Zheludev was awarded IOP’s Michael Faraday Medal.
  • Prof. Nikolay Zheludev was appointed as Distinguished Fellow at IAS, NTU and as Hagler Fellow at Hagler Institute for Advanced Study.
  • Prof. Chong Yidong, Prof. Zhang Baile and Prof. Nikolay Zheludev have been nominated to the 2021 Asian Scientist 100 for their contributions to topological nanophotonics.
  • Prof. Nikolay Zheludev, Prof. Chong Yidong and Prof. Zhang Baile have received the President's Science Award for pioneering a new sub-field of photonics called topological nanophotonics.
  • CDPT organized the 3rd International Workshop on Quantum & Topological Nanophotonics (QTN) from 12th to 14th December 2019 at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
  • CDPT organized a Research Workshop on Concepts in Nanophotonics on 1st April 2019 to celebrate 75 years of Prof. Boris Lukiyanchuk at CDPT, SPMS, NTU.
  • CDPT organized the 2nd International Workshop on Quantum & Topological Nanophotonics (QTN) from 5th to 7th April 2018 at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
  • CDPT is delighted to announce the award of a 2nd MOE Tier 3 grant on Quantum & Topological Nanophotonics of 5 year duration.
  • CDPT was present at The 8th International Conference on Surface Plasmon Photonics (SPP8) held from May 22-26, 2017 (Group photo with all conference attendees).
  • CDPT is proud to announce that it has been selected to lead one of six projects constituting the four-year A*STAR Quantum Technologies for Engineering (QTE) Programme with its proposal Nanophotonic quantum toolkit on the fibre and SOI platforms. With CDPT’s and other two projects assigned to NTU’s researchers, this success makes NTU a prime player in quantum photonic technologies in Singapore.
  • The Quantum and Topological Nanophotonics (QTN) Workshop, held in NTU in December 2016 was a great success with more than 150 international and local participants over the two days of the workshop who could interact and foster collaborations with the many distinguished invited speakers from top institutions around the world.
  • CDPT dinner with Prof Sir Peter Knight and Prof Yuri Kivshar, invited speakers of the TPI LUX Photonics Consortium Conference 2016.
  • ICMAT 2015 has brought in Singapore many CDPT friends and collaborators, here gathered for a cosy dinner together with some of CDPT staff.
  • Singapore-Japan workshop on Nanophotonics, Plasmonics and Metamaterials which was held in NTU in December 2014 hosted delegations from Japan and Taiwan to foster common research projects between the three counties.
  • NTU lights up photonics research with S$100 million institute. The Photonics Institute opening ceremony was held at NTU on 30th October 2014.
  • CDPT brought to Singapore META’14 conference which was a huge success attracting about 700 participants thus becoming the biggest nanophotonics conference.
  • NTU - Technion workshop on Photonics and Nanophotonics which was held in NTU in May 2014 revealed a deep affinity of research interests between the photonics communities of the two institutions.
  • One of CDPT's international collaborators, Prof. Harald Giessen from Stuttgart University is running a research project at CDPT.
  • CDPT would like to congratulate our collaborator and NTU Adjunct Professor, Dr. Boris Lukiyanchuk, who was awarded the 2013 President's Science Award here in Singapore.
  • CDPT PI Prof. Qijie Wang published work on a graphene based light sensor that outperforms 1000 times CMOS detector while and Prof. Baile Zhang had an impact with the demonstration of cloaking of living pets. Both results have seen widespread coverage on both local and international news.
  • A delegation from the Optoelectronic Research Centre at Southampton visited CDPT.
  • CDPT was officially launched by NTU president Prof. Bertil Andersson on 14 December 2012.
