Nuclear Magnetic Resonance

Overview
The nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) facility in School of Biological Sciences (SBS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is equipped with three solution state NMR spectrometers ranging from 400 MHz to 700 MHz. It is established in 2005 and physically located in the NMR Room (SBS-B1n-03) situated in the SBS building. The NMR facility serves NTU research community and external research institutes with collaborations. Requests from other organizations will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Typically after appropriate training, users are granted access to perform their own experiments. The NMR instruments are accessible 24 hours per day, year-round.

The specifications of the three solution state NMR spectrometers from Bruker are as below:
AVANCE II 700 MHzAVANCE II 700 MHz NMR spectrometer has four RF channels and is equipped with one 5 mm z-gradient TXI cryoprobe, one 4 mm HR-MAS probe, one 5 mm z-gradient PATXI probe, the Bruker Smart Nitrogen Liquefier (BSNL) and the sample emergency life system.
AVANCE II 600 MHzAVANCE II 600 MHz NMR spectrometer has four RF channels and is equipped with one 5mm z-gradient TCI cryoprobe, one 5mm z-gradient TXI probe, the BSNL and the sample emergency lift system.
AVANCE NEO 400 MHzAVANCE NEO 400 MHz NMR spectrometer has two RF channels and is equipped with one 5mm z-gradient BBFO SmartProbe, one 5mm z-gradient BBO probe, one SampleXpress automatic sample changer and the Bruker Nitrogen Liquefier (BNL).
