Contractors and Vendors Management

ASE and EOS have a duty of care to contractors and vendors engaged by us to do work in our premises. As such, it is important to ensure the following:

  1. Do Pre-evaluation of contractors/ vendors
  2. Ensure they have at least bizSAFE Level 3 before selection
  3. Pass them a copy of the Contractor Handbook
  4. Remember to ask them to sign on the visitor’s logbook
  5. Explain to them the evacuation routes and the general rules they must follow
  6. Ensure that they pass a copy of their risk assessments to you
  7. Keep the documents in a folder for future reference (e.g., they only need to submit one time if the work is similar)
  8. Report them if they are doing work unsafely
