The School offers a PhD and Master by Research programme in Earth Sciences, a single major programme in Environmental Earth Systems Science, a double major programme in Environmental Earth Systems Science and Public Policy and Global Affairs, and second major programme in Data Analytics, Sustainability and Entrepreneurship. The school also has a minor programme in Environmental Sustainability that is open to all students at NTU.

Small cohort size

Our small cohort sizes mean a more interactive and productive learning environment, with opportunity for students to interact with faculty. Many of our students join a lab to do a small research project during their undergraduate years.

Field trips

At ASE we believe in the importance of applying classroom skills in real world scenarios, be it a volcano, a coral reef, or a rain forest. Our field programmes provide the opportunity for students to conduct real field surveys, gaining skills and understandings from applying them in real world scenarios. During the pandemic our field programmes have been rearranged to take place in and around Singapore.

ASE is a small and welcoming school, made up of faculty from diverse backgrounds and academic disciplines. The open, dynamic and collaborative working environment makes it an exciting and fun place to study. Our undergraduate student and alumni associations are active and engaged, arranging activities on a regular basis.
