Vertical Movie Festival Roma 2021 Winner: Chul Heo

Huge congratulations to Associate Professor Chul Heo and his many collaborators from ADM, including a number of faculty and 22 students, for winning the Grand Prize at the Vertical Movie Festival in Rome, Italy, for NEW NORMAL an 8 minute version of the short film they made for the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival in July. Vertical Movie Festival is a film festival dedicated to films made in the vertical format and NEW NORMAL depicts a futuristic Singapore in the midst of great environmental change. The festival commended it for its “originality and poetry.” There were 40 films in competition, selected from 900 international submissions, so this is a wonderful achievement.
