Congratulations to alumni Lavender Chang for having her directorial debut feature film Absent Smile presenting at the 33rd Singapore International Film Festival!

Absent Smile is a loving document of John Clang's parents and other transnational families reunited briefly but remembered forever through family portraiture. John Clang collaborates frequently with Lavender of whom she was the cinematographer for his previous two features. Lavender was also the one who lensed Absent Smile.

Absent Smile will be having its world premiere under the Singapore Panorama section.
