Eco ear candy: Dazzle with these DIY earrings that are not just easy on the eyes, but also on the environment. Made with rice starch and natural food colourings, these earrings can be turned into fertilisers for plants 🌱 when you don't want them anymore. A clever idea by ADM Product Design student, Matthew Ong as part of his final-year project, he hopes to reduce the harmful impact of fast fashion and help consumers stay trendy while embracing a #zerowaste lifestyle. The earrings biodegrade in about 30 days when fully submerged in soil and water, while the earring hooks can be reused for other designs made with the DIY kit.
