Chair's Message

Hello and welcome to the School of Art Design and Media! We are a leading creative arts institution in Asia, situated at the confluence of art, science and technology in the comprehensive university that is NTU. Our international community of artist-thinkers are actively engaged in pioneering design and media research, as we incubate the next generation of creative thinkers in Singapore and beyond. Founded in 2005, we have consistently ranked as one of Asia’s top 10 schools in art media and design. 

Over four years of study culminating in a BFA, a flexible curriculum allows you to undertake a curated approach to designing your own educational journey. With the close guidance of dedicated faculty, you may pursue general study in Design Art or Media Art, or focus on rigorous training in one of our key specialisations in film, animation, game, visual communication, interactive design, product design or photography. Supported by NTU’s groundbreaking Interdisciplinary Collaborative Core, (ICC), as well the option of joint programs with other schools across NTU, ADM students can tap into a stellar educational environment. We value real world experience and actively work to place our students in internships with leading companies. Through NTU’s network of leading partner universities, students are also encouraged to undertake overseas exchanges around the world. 

Every year ADM is pleased to matriculate students who become award-winning artists and accomplished creative professionals. Amongst our alumni, we count several President’s Young Artists, award-winning filmmakers and animators who have presented films at Cannes and Annecy, Red Dot design winners, artists whose work have been acquired by SAM and the National Museum, as well as the founders of many dynamic and successful companies. Our alumni populate our industries as creative leaders, problem solvers, thinkers and makers, with an understanding and respect for the multi-layered thought powering creative action. 

Through your time with us, our goal is for you to graduate as confident and inventive individuals with an enlightened imagination and deep connection to our society. As creators, we play an essential role in the shaping of our environment. We hope you may bring your talents and skills into all aspects of our rapidly evolving world, as active and compassionate stewards of our future. Welcome to ADM!
