SSS Club Receives “Tenacity Award” at Student Leaders’ Night 2025

The NTU School of Social Sciences is proud to share that the SSS Club was awarded the “Tenacity Award” at Student Leaders’ Night 2025 on Friday, 25th September 2025. This recognition highlights the club’s dedication to meaningful student initiatives and community engagement.

One of the award-winning projects was the Migrant Workers Wellness Carnival, organised to show appreciation for migrant workers and build connections beyond campus. The event featured collaborations with ASE, ADM and EEE for interactive booths, as well as food and welfare distribution. Mental well-being segments were supported by CC0005 course coordinators, while Project Migrant Health Matters provided health screenings. The carnival also gave student volunteers the opportunity to interact meaningfully with migrant workers and contribute through hands-on activities.

The second recognised initiative was the SSS Ministerial Forum 2025, held on 12 March 2025 with Guest of Honour Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Foreign Affairs. The Forum offered SSS students the chance to engage with national leaders and deepen their understanding of current issues through a social sciences lens.

Congratulations to the SSS Club for their impact, resilience, and leadership. Their efforts continue to uplift the SSS community and beyond.
